France’s Aidan Chollet and Brit Charlotte Bankes won close races in the men’s and women’s Snowboard Cross in Cortina.
The men’s race was especially close with Chollet coming in with a time of 43.53 seconds, just ahead of Germany’s Kurt Hoshino at 43.63 who narrowly edged out Cody winters in a photo finish for second place.
With the win, Chollet is now in second place in the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup Standings behind only Canada’s Eliot Grondin with Hoshino in 13th and winters in 16th.
Bankes sits top of the women’s World Cup Standings after she racked up 100 additional points for her win in the Italian Alps.
France claimed second and third place with Lea Casta and Manon Petit Lenoir going second and third respectively.
