Slovenia’s Zan Kosir and Ramona Theresia Hofmeister of Germany took home big wins in the men’s and women’s FIS Parallel Giant Slalom at Val Saint-Come.
Kosir beat out Austrian Benjamin Karl by just 0.14 seconds to claim the gold.
Bulgarian Radoslav Yankov took third place after he beat Italy’s Daniele Bagozza to the line in the third-place heat.
Yankov is second in the world cup standings behind Italian Maurizio Bormolini. Karl is in fourth overall with Bagozza in eighth and Kosir in 13th.
In the women’s competition, Hofmeister snagged first place by 0.49 seconds from Austria’s Sabine payer.
Michelle Dekker of the Netherlands took third place after she beat out Germany’s Cheyene Loch.
Hofmeister is third in the World Cup Standings behind Japan’s Tsubaki Miki and Poland’s Aleksandra Krol-Walas.
Payer is in fourth place overall with Dekker in fifth and loch in eighth.
