England Beat Pakistan By Six Wickets

England beat Pakistan by six wickets to win the third one-day international at Bristol and take a 2-nil lead in the five match series. PTV Sports telecast the match live.

Batting first Pakistan scored 358 for 9 in 50 overs. After Fakhar's early departure, Imam ul Haq smashed 151 off 131 deliveries. Imam and Haris got together and had put together 68 with Haris on 41 when he ran for a run that was not there.

Asif Ali came in at six and immediately got stuck in. Pakistan's run rate picked up in a partnership that amassed 125 runs in 90 balls, with Asif posting a career-best 52 off 43, his second half-century in as many games.

For England, Chris Woakes bagged four while tom Curran took two.

Chasing 359, England cantered to the target for the loss of 4 wickets with over five overs to spare.

Pakistan's fielding was sorely lacking, and the three simple catches they dropped didn't help against an England side that needed no leg-up anyway. By the Time Roy found the point fielder on 76, England had added 159 in 17.2 overs. Bairstow was never threatened and he clubbed 128 from 93. Later Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali then took advantage of perfect batting practice conditions for what remained of the chase.

England completed their second-highest run-chase in ODIs, and best at home.
