Annual 'Slush Cup' In Alaska : A Winter's End Celebration And Beginning Of Spring

At the 42nd annual 'Slush Cup' in Girdwood, Alaska competitors attempted to ski down a mountain, then cross a 27-meter pond. While some made it successfully, the majority did not - crashing into the water in a variety of comedic poses.

The event, held at the Alyeska Resort, is a celebration of the end of Winter and the beginning of spring.

The Winner of the 'Slush Cup' receives a ski pass for the resort's following winter season.
