France Qualify For Davis Cup Tennis Final

Defending champions France qualified for the Davis Cup Tennis final after beating Spain in the doubles rubber in their semi-final clash in Lille.

Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut had a lightning start taking the first set 6-nil in just 18 minutes.

The French then took the second set 6-4 before taking the final set on a tie-breaker.

Benoit Paire gave France a winning start after beating Pablo Carreno Busta by 7-5, 6-1 and 6-nil.

Lucas Pouille's 3-6, 7-6, 6-4, 2-6 and 6-4 victory over Roberto Bautista-Agut in the following match made it 2-0.

France, captained by 1983 French open winner Yannick Noah, will meet either Croatia or the United States in the final in late November.
