Russia 2018: Croatia Edge England 2-1 To Reach First World Cup Final

Croatia qualify for the final of FIFA world cup 2018 after beating England 2-1 in the second semi final at Moscow.

Croatia will now face France in the final on Sunday.

Meanwhile Belgium will take on England for the third position match on Saturday.

The match was leveled at 1-1 after the allotted time but in the second period of extra time Mario Mandzukic scored the winning goal for Croatia.

Kieran Trippier's free-kick after five minutes gave England a dream start to the semi-final but Croatia clawed their way back into the match and Ivan Perisic Equalised with a 68th-minute volley.

Mandzukic was fastest to react to Perisic's header and shot past Jordan Pickford in the 109th minute to decide the game in the Luzhniki stadium and send Croatia into their first ever world cup final.

Croatia are the smallest nation to make it to the final since Uruguay back in 1950.
