India Scores Seventh Bilateral Series Victory Against Sri Lanka

After scalping first fifer of his career in the third One-Day International against Sri Lanka, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah credited hard work in the practice sessions for the stupendous performance in the match, which the visitors won and took an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the Five-Match Series.

Paceman Jasprit Bumrah laid the foundation for India's Victory with a career-best 5-27 to help restrict Sri Lanka to 217-9 in the series decider.

Bumrah was awarded man of the match for his bowling performance.

India's innings started with a top-order wobble, as the Virat Kohli-led team had slumped to 61-4 in 14 overs.

However, opener Rohit Sharma smashed an unbeaten 124, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni accomplished the chase with an unbroken 157-run stand and registered a series-clinching six-wicket victory.

This was India's seventh successive bilateral series victory against Sri Lanka.

The two teams will now lock horns in the Fourth ODI to be played at Colombo on Thursday.
