Azhar Ali Ranked Sixth In Batsmen Rankings
Pakistan opener Azhar Ali has risen to number six spot in new ICC Test batsmen rankings.
Azhar gained two positions to clinch sixth slot, replacing South African wicket keeper -batsman Quinton de Kock.
Australian skipper Steve Smith lead the batsmen rankings, with England and New Zealand skippers Joe Root and Kane Williamson in second and third spots respectively.
Indian duo of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli are placed in fourth and fifth positions.
In the bowlers rankings, spinners continue to dominate with Indian left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja topping the charts while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has leapfrogged Rangana Herath to claim the second position.
Sri Lankan stand-in captain Herath is now ranked third as fast-bowlers James Anderson and Josh Hazelwood occupy fourth and fifth positions.
Yasir Shah is the only Pakistani bowler in the top 20, ranked fourteenth.
In the all-rounders rankings, Bangladesh's Shakib-Al-Hasan and India's Ravindra Jadeja occupy top two slots respectively.
