Canary Islands Windsurfing Event
France's Antoine Albeau won the windsurfing Slalom Grand Slam in a closely-contested battle at Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.
Albeau arrived at the event as the favourite and relished the strong winds which reached up to 80 kilometers per hour.
Italy's Matteo Iachino and Britain's Ross Williams took out second and third respectively.
The event was marred by a crash between Dutchman Taty Frans and France's Pierre Mortefon on Saturday, which resulted in Frans being rushed to Hospital.
Frans received stitches but both competitors are expected to make a full recovery.
