1st ODI Of 3-Match Series: Australia Beat Pakistan By 2 Wickets, Take 1-0 Lead

Australia beat Pakistan by two wickets in the first one day international in Melbourne to take 1-0 lead in three match series.

Earlier, Australian Captain Pat Cummins won the toss and put Pakistan into bat.

Batting first Pakistan were bowled out for 203 runs in 46.4 overs.

Skipper Mohammad Rizwan remained top scorer with 44 runs, hitting two fours and one six.

Naseem Shah made 40 runs with the help of four sixes and one four.

Babar Azam added 37 while Shaheen Shah Afridi hit 22 runs.

For Australia, Mitchell Starc bagged three while Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa took two wickets each.

In reply Australia achieved the 204-run target for the loss of eight wickets in 33.3 overs.

Josh Inglis remained top scorer with 49 runs while Steven Smith made 44 runs.

Skipper Pat Cummins played a match winning knock off 32 not out.

For Pakistan, Haris Rauf bagged three while Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets.

Mitchell Starc declared player of the match. The second one day international will be played in Adelaide on Friday.

Pakistan and Australia will play three match ODI and three match T20I series.
