Sri Lanka Win Women's T20 Asia Cup: Sri Lanka Women Stun India By 8 Wickets In Final

Sri Lanka Women created history, dethroning India to clinch their maiden Women's T20 Asia Cup Title.

Openers Chamari Athapaththu and Harshitha Samarawickrama's fighting half-centuries and Kavisha Dilhari's all-round heroics stood out as Sri Lanka cruised to an eight-wicket victory in front of a packed crowd in Dambulla.

Batting first India women scored 165 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana remained top scorer with 60 runs.

For Sri Lanka, Kavisha Dilhari took two wickets.

In reply Sri Lanka women achieved the 166-run target for the loss of two wickets in 18.4 overs.

Harshitha Samarawickrama remained top scorer with unbeaten 69 runs while Chamari Athapaththu made 61 runs.
