Cliff Diving World Series: Iffland And Popovici Bag Cliff Diving Win Event In Italy

Rhiannan Iffland and Constantin Popovici claimed respective wins in Italy at the Polignano a mare stop of the cliff diving world series.

Seven-time defending World Champion Iffland scored 367.20 points on her dives to take a comfortable win over American Kaylea Arnett with Molly Carlson of Canada third.

Iffland’s second consecutive win of the season saw the Australian extend her overall series lead to 57 points, 11 clear of Carlson.

On the men's side, reigning World Champion Popovici of Romania scored 418.65 points and edged American James Lichtenstein by 0.25 points, while Mexican Jonathan Paredes completed the podium.

Lichtenstein, on 46 points, managed to keep hold of his overall championship lead, with Popovici cutting the advantage down to just four points after three rounds of the eight-stop season.
