ICC T20 World Cup, New York: South Africa Beat Bangladesh By Four Runs

South Africa beat Bangladesh by four runs and qualify for the super eight round of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in New York.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat.

Batting first South Africa scored 113 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Heinrich Klaasen remained top scorer with 46 runs. He smashed three sixes and two fours in his 44-ball knock.

David miller added 29 while Quinton De Kock made 18 runs.

For Bangladesh, Tanzim Hasan Sakib bagged three while Taskin Ahmed took two wickets.

In reply chasing 114, Bangladesh scored 109 runs for the loss of seven wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Towhid Hridoy remained top scorer with 37 runs, hitting two fours and two sixes.

Mahmudullah added 20 runs.

For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj bagged three while Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje took two wickets each.

Heinrich Klaasen declared player of the match.
