Americans John John Florence and Caroline Marks rode to wins at the World Surf League Championship Tour El Salvador Pro.

The men's competition completed the round of 16, quarters, semis, and finals with Florence defeating Brazilian Yago Dora in the men's final with his two best rides scoring a total of 16.33 to Dora's 14.44.

The women's competition needed only to complete the quarters, semis, and finals with marks narrowly defeating countrywomen Gabriela Bryan 14.80 to 14.46.

The event was the seventh of the Ct Season with the tour now heading south to brazil for the Vivo Rio Pro with a window from June 22-30 before taking time off for the Olympics.

Both Florence and Marks have qualified for the games and will compete for gold in Tahiti.
