Lahore Qalandars Qualify For PSL Final: Qalandars Beat Peshawar Zalmi By Four Wickets In Eliminator

Lahore Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets in second eliminator and qualify for the final of Pakistan Super League 2023.

Lahore will face Multan Sultans today in the final at Gaddafi Stadium, PTV Sports HD is telecasting the entire event LIVE.

Earlier Peshawar Zalmi Captain Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat.

Batting first Peshawar Zalmi scored 171 runs for the loss of five wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Zalmi lost opener Saim Ayub on 15. He made nine runs before Zaman Khan clean bowled him.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris added 89 runs stand for the second wicket in 10 overs.

Babar Azam made 42 off 36 balls, with the help of seven fours.

Mohammad Haris played a blistering knock he remained top scorer with 85 off 54 balls. Haris smashed 11 fours and two sixes in his innings.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa made unbeaten 25 off 18 balls. He smashed four boundaries in his innings.

For Lahore Qalandars, Zaman Khan and Rashid Khan bagged two wickets each while Shaheen Shah Afridi took one wicket.

In reply Lahore Qalandars achieved the 172-run target for the loss of six wickets in 18.5 overs.

Lahore lost Fakhar Zaman on 14 while debutant Ahsan Hafeez added 15 runs.

Abdullah Shafique was run out after making 10 runs.

Lahore were struggling at 69 for three but Mirza Tahir Baig and Sam Billings added 50 runs for the fourth wicket off 28 balls.

Tahir Baig remained top scorer with 54 runs off 42 balls. He smashed seven fours and two sixes in his innings.

Billings smashed crucial 28 with the help of three fours. Sikandar Raza in the end chipped in with 23 off 14.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Azmatullah Omarzai bagged two while Wahab Riaz, Aamer Jamal and Salman Irshad took one wicket each.

Mirza Tahir Baig declared player of the match.

The final of the mega event will be played at 7.00 pm today between Lahore and Multan Sultans.
