Pakistan Whitewash West Indies: Pakistan Beat West Indies By 53 Runs In 3RD ODI In Multan

Pakistan whitewashed West Indies in the three match one day international series in Multan.

In the third and final one day international Pakistan beat West Indies by 53 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan Captain Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first Pakistan scored 269 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 48 overs.

Pakistani openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam Ul Haq provide 85 runs stand for the first wicket.

Fakhar made 35 before Pooran clean bowled him. Babar Azam only scored one run before he was LBW out off walsh.

Imam Ul Haq completed his seventh consecutive half century.

He became only the second batter to score seven or more fifties in successive ODIs.

Former Pakistan great Javed Miandad held the record for most fifties in successive ODIs with nine, scored in 1987.

Pakistan were 113 for two in 22 overs but they lost three quick wickets for just four runs.

Imam made 62 runs with the help of seven fours and one six. Nicholas Pooran got his wicket.

Wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Haris once again failed and was caught out with out scoring any run.

Rizwan was caught behind wicket after making 11 runs.

After losing five wickets, Shadab Khan and Khushdil Shah stablized the innings.

Both added crucial 84 runs stand for the sixth wicket as Pakistan cross 200-run mark.

Khushdil made 34 runs with the help of three fours.

All rounder Shadab Khan hit a career-best 86 to lift pakistan to 269 .

He improved upon his 54 against New Zealand in wellington in 2018. Shadab smashed four fours and three sixes in his 78-ball knock.

Shadab also added 40 runs stand for the eight wicket with Mohammad Wasim.

For West Indies, Nicholas Pooran bagged four wickets after giving away 48 runs in his 10 overs.
In reply chasing 270, West Indies were bowled out for 216 runs in 37.2 overs.

West Indies lost opener Kyle Mayers at 25 when debutant Shahnawaz Dahani got his first one day international wicket.

Shai hope and Shamarh Brooks added 27 runs for the second wicket partnership.

Hasan Ali got the wicket off hope, who made 21 while Mohammad Wasim Junior clean bowled brooks on 18.

West Indies lost five wickets at 93 as Mohammad Nawaz got Pooran while Shadab Khan got the wicket off Rovman Powell.

Akeal Hosein and Keacy Carty added 36 runs for the sixth wicket stand.

Carty made 33 before he was stumped out off Shadab Khan. Keemo Paul chipped in with 21 runs. Nawaz got his wicket.

Akeal Hosein played a superb knock and remained top scorer with 60 runs off 37 balls. He smashed six sixes and two fours in his innings.

For Pakistan, Shadab Khan bagged four while Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets each.

Shadab Khan was declared man of the match on his all round performance.

Imam Ul Haq named as player of the series.

Pakistan won the first match by five wickets and the second by 120 runs.

With the series win Pakistan move to fourth place on points table of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League.

Pakistan has 90 points after 15 matches.
