Madrid Open : Berrettini Beats Ruud To Set Up Zverev Final

Matteo Berrettini continued his recent strong form with a straight set semi-final win over Casper Ruud to advance to the Madrid Open final.

Italian eighth seed Berrettini overpowered the unseeded Norweigian ruud 6-4 6-4 to set up a finals showdown with fifth seeded German Alexander Zverev.

Berrettini used his serve to his advantage, with five aces and a 91.2 percent success rate on his first serves.

Berrettini won 10 of 34 points off of Ruud's first serves, while Ruud managed only three out of his 34 chances.
