Pak Beat S. Africa To Win Series 2-1

The Pakistan cricket team became the first side to score 100 wins in twenty20 internationals.

Tail-ender Hasan Ali hit two sixes in the penultimate over to help Pakistan clinch the twenty20 international series against South Africa with a four-wicket win in the third and final match in Lahore.

Hasan finished with a seven-ball 20 not out as Pakistan overhauled a 165-run target in 18.4 overs to win the series 2-1, South Africa's first t20i series defeat in Asia.

The green shirts, chasing a 165-run target set by the Proteas, managed to win with four wickets in hand with eight balls to spare.

South Africa set the target of 165 at a loss of eight wickets. The side's top scorers were David Miller 85 not out and Janneman Malan 27.

From the Pakistan side, debutant Zahid Mahmood emerged as the top wicket-taker with a haul of three. Mohammad Nawaz and Hasan Ali took two each and Usman Qadir took one.

For Pakistan, Babar Azam hit 44 and Mohammad Rizwan's 42 anchored the team with their solid performances.

South African bowler Tabraiz Shamsi tried throughout to dismantle the side, managing in the effort to grab four wickets.

Pakistan won the first match by three runs while South Africa took the second by six wickets, both also played in Lahore.
