Second T20: South Africa Beat Pakistan By Six Wickets

South Africa beat Pakistan by six wickets in the second T20 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore to level the three match series 1-1.

Earlier, batting first Pakistan scored 144 runs for the loss of seven wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Pakistan lost skipper Babar Azam on 10 when Dwaine Pretorius lbw out him. He made five runs. Pakistan middle order once again failed to perform. Haider Ali made 10, Hussain Talat three, Iftikhar Ahmed 20 and Khushdil Shah added 15 runs.

Wicketkeeper batsman and opener Mohammad Rizwan once again played a superb knock. He completed his half century and remained top scorer with 51 runs. He smashed six fours and one six.

In the end, Faheem Ashraf made unbeaten 30 off just 12 balls. He hit two fours and two sixes.

For South Africa, Dwaine Pretorius bagged five wickets after giving away just 17 runs in four overs.

In reply South Africa easily achieved the 145-run target for the loss of four wickets in 16.2 overs.

Reeza Hendricks remained top scorer with 42 runs, hitting three fours and three sixes.

Hard hitter Pite Van Biljon added 42 off 32 balls. He smashed two sixes and three fours.

David Miller scored unbeaten 25 while skipper Heinrich Klaasen added 17 not out.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi bagged two while Mohammad Nawaz and Usman Qadir picked one wicket each.

Dwaine Pretorius was declared man of the match.

The third and final match of the series will be played today at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
