Wimbledon C'ships-women: Serena Beats Rodina For Place In Quarter-finals

Serena Williams and Kiki Bertens also progress into quarter-finals of the Wimbledon Championships.

Serena fired 30 winners and converted four out of five breakpoints to overcome Evgeniya Rodina 6-2 6-2 and march into the Wimbledon's last eight.

Williams, the 25th seed after her return from maternity leave, took just over an hour to seal the victory and will take on Camila Giorgi in the last eight.
Kiki Bertens completed the demolition of Wimbledon's top eight women's seeds with a 6-3 7-6 defeat of Czech Karolina Pliskova to reach the quarter-finals.

Bertens will play either 13th seed Julia Goerges or Croatia's Donna Vekic for a place in the semi-finals.
